The design work experience (PART B)

House for a Celebrity

THE BRIEF

Now that you completed your 3D model of Farnsworth House, it's time to put your imagination and design skills to good use by designing a house for the celebrity of your choice.

As an architect, you will be asked to interpret your clients brief in terms of space and lifestyle requirements. During the initial design stage it is important to consider these requirements along with analysing the site for views, daylight, natural features, topography and access points.

Use a PowerPoint or Word style format to document each step in your process from deciding on your brief, choosing an appropriate site, exploring the client’s style and taste, showing your initial sketches and final images of your 3D model.

We suggest using sketches, moodboards and bubble diagrams to plan out your house. Include all these elements in your final document to demonstrate your thought process behind the final designs.
